Park City, Utah might be known for its ski season, but there are also many great activities during the warmer months. Downtown park city is a buzzing centre of culture, music, art and food. There are plenty of festivals and attractions which tourists and locals flock to every year, so why not come enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery?
July 1- September 23 – Visit the Silly Market while on your Park City vacation
This child-friendly market starts up again in July and has food, entertainment and more. It’s free to visit (located on Historic Main Street) and is 100% waste free. This Park City event is fun for the whole family, with different stalls every week.
July 5-8 – Park City Wine and Food Classic
More than 100 food artisans, wineries and locally made products are available at this gourmet food and wine festival. From wine tasting to cooking demonstrations, this is an event for everyone. It is the eighth annual wine and food classic and tickets sell quickly so make sure to purchase yours as early as possible.
The excellent Utah symphony is in its ninth season of providing classical, opera, and pop offerings in the park city area. These classically trained musicians perform over several months during the Deer Valley Music Festival and shouldn’t be missed. The music of Michael Jackson concert will be held at the Deer Valley Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheatre and is just one of the many events being held in July. All of MJ’s classic hits from albums such as Thriller will be performed.
Bring a picnic and watch a great movie while sitting in the grass with friends at this event. The July 26 showing is Filly Brown, a drama about a Mexican girl who rises to musical fame as she copes with the incarceration of her mother.
