Park City Utah is a city known for many things including our beautiful mountains, limitless outdoor activity potential, and our rich artistic culture. Each year, Park City celebrates that artistic culture with the Park City Kimball Arts Festival. This year will mark the 44th anniversary of the Park City Kimball Arts Festival and will feature 220 artists as well as a number of city-wide recreational activities including Taste of Art 2013.
Kimball Arts Festival 2013
The 44th Annual Park City Kimball Arts Festival takes place August 2nd-4th and will feature a number of exciting events and exhibits for the entire family to enjoy. The festival kicks off the evening of Thursday August 1st with the Opening Night Gala. The Opening Gala features a cocktail reception, an elegant dinner, both a live and silent auction as well as a fashion show and a beautiful automotive display by Porsche.
For children and families, there will be a number of events aimed at keeping the wee ones entertained. Children will be able to create their own custom Lululemon Athletica tote bags using custom designed stamps. There will also be an opportunity for children to create their own spirit totem poles using sustainable and renewable bamboo. To keep young imaginations going, there will also be ceramic creation and painting. There will also be free face painting as well as a scavenger hunt for kids to enjoy.
In addition to the celebration of visual arts, the Kimball Arts Festival offers a celebration of music as an art form with the 2013 concert series. This year, the Kimball Arts Festival will feature Small House Strings, Bastard Redheads, Trinadadio, Sofia Dion, and many others. Taste of Art 2013
While visiting the Kimball Art Center for the 2013 Kimball Arts Festival, festival goers have the opportunity to experience some delicious taste sensations at the Taste of Art 2013. This year, two restaurants participating in the Taste of Art include:
