Arches National Park

The chances are very good you have seen the Arches National Park somewhere, whether in a movie, a photograph, or in a book. It is truly an iconic landmark that defines Utah. It contains an amazing natural wonder of red rock that will leave you breathless. There is nothing like this anywhere else in the world. Thousands of sandstone arches can be found here. Unique to Utah, these geological formations dot the desert landscape of the park. You can marvel at these structures all within the comfort of your car. There is a paved road that makes its way all throughout the park. If you are feeling more adventurous, there are hiking trails that take you deeper into the more desolate regions of the park. For more options, there are also other parks adjacent to the Arches National Park, such as Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse Point State Park. If the desert scenery is not your thing, check out the Guardsman Pass Scenic Backway. It is a beautiful mountainous area, littered with flowers, trees, and lakes. Check out the wildflowers growing in every direction. There are many turnouts where you can stop and admire the beauty all around you. It is also a great place to take lots of pictures of the landscape. There are amazing views to be seen once you drive up higher and higher towards the summit.
