Park City, UT is one of the biggest tourist destinations in Utah during the month of January because among the many Park City events we have going on in the New Year, we are also the host of the Sundance Film Festival, which runs from January 19th to January 29th, 2012 and takes place just minutes from our Park City Peaks Hotel.
Since 1981, when the Sundance Institute (started by Robert Redford in Sundance, Utah) was created, the organization has been working to spread and, “advance the work of risk-taking storytellers worldwide.” The film festival is held in Park City every January and draws enormous crowds of talented actors, filmmakers and film-fans to our Park City resorts for 10 days dedicated to celebrating film-making from around the world.
This year’s selection of films and shorts which will be shown and judged are among the best ever brought to event and we are certainly looking forward to watching these amazing works. Are any of you coming to town to the film festival and other Park City events? We’d love to hear from you about your thoughts on the films, your celebrity sightings (there are certain to be a few) and your thoughts on our city and its hospitality!
